KHAMSIN(カムシン)

At that time, guitarist Takumi Seino, who had returned from Berklee College of Music in Boston, also participated.
We started our activities in 1996 as an original technical fusion band.

KHAMSIN is a dry, hot wind accompanied by dust storms that blows in North Africa and the Arabian Peninsula, and is also the name of the god of the “invisible”.

The group went on hiatus for a while, but restarted in 2017 with new members.

We are creating a sound that only this band can create by bringing together the music that each individual has experienced over a period of more than ten years.

In the exchange project between Takatsuki Jazz Street and the Detroit Jazz Festival that started in 2023, KHAMSIN participated in the Detroit Jazz Festival on behalf of Japan, and was highly praised by the customers who came to the venue and the local stage staff. I did.
The venue where we performed was such a success that there was an encore for the first time in the history of the jazz festival.
